Spirits and liqueurs can be savoured in many ways: straight, on-the-rocks, mixed or simply for a tasting. For each different serve there’s an appropriate glass shape. For a perfect tasting, ideally the glass should have a convex design with a narrow rim to enhance the complexity of flavours and aromas of the drink. To enjoy a spirit on-the-rocks, however, it should be served in a short, wide tumbler that can easily accommodate ice cubes, such as a rocks or double old fashioned glass. If the preference, however, is to enjoy it straight in one sip, shot glasses are the best option.
